Restrict Workflow Moves

For organizations who must adhere to Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs (OFCCP) compliance rules, recruiters can restrict moving or copying candidates into another workflow.

To restrict candidate moves, the following must occur:

Restrict Workflow Client Parameter

There are two client parameters that must be enabled to restrict workflow moves: the RESTRICT_REQUISITION_MOVES client parameter and the OFCCP parameter. The OFCCP parameter can only be enabled by your PeopleFluent representative. In PeopleFluent Recruiting Portal, your administrator can enable the RESTRICT_REQUISITION_MOVES parameter on the Client Parameters dialog box. For more information on enabling a client parameter see, Enable a Client Parameter.

Since copy and move are two separate actions, the recruiter may be able to copy candidates into another, folder but they may not be able to move candidates into another folder. The following table describes how the copy and move operations function when the restrict client parameters are enabled or disabled.

Restricting Workflow Moves

When the RESTRICT_REQUISITION_MOVES and OFCCP parameters are enabled and no default folder is designated for the workflow, recruiters cannot move or copy a candidate from one workflow to another. When attempting to move or copy a candidate to a workflow without a default folder, the user receives a message indicating that no default folder is specified for the requisition.

The restrict move also works when attempting to move a candidate:

  1. Between different requisitions.

  2. From the candidate search results.

  3. From the Candidate Quick Find.

  4. By dragging the icon next to the candidate name on the candidate profile.

  1. Note: If your workflow has multiple default folders, do not simply drag the candidate to the top level of the workflow. Instead drag the candidate directly into the folder you wish. Dragging the candidate into the top level of the workflow places the candidate in the first default folder.
